Smelling nice can be an occupational hazard

You might not be as famous as Lady Gaga, but you can be a perfume designer, too.  Perfume companies all over the world have a wealth of positions for Chemists, including Cosmetic Formulator, Analytical Services, Synthesis Chemist...even sales positions for people with Chemistry degrees.

Check out this website for a step-by-step process on obtaining a job in the Perfume industry as a Chemist.

  1. I really like this post and the blog. Many students take science just to get grade and regents credit. Many of them do not understand the endless possibilites like you said with a science degree. Our world has become a scientific one lately. Science teachers should let students know what they can do with an education in science, and I like how you give them websites to look at to help spark their interest.

By the way, I know someone more famous than Lady Gaga, and I think you know who she is. :)

  2. Sorry, this might be a really late comment. I forgot to add this comment last time.

Since this a post with reference to Lady Gaga, I thought I should add a critical thinking question regarding her that you can use for your students.

So, how do you wake up Lady Gaga? Give Up
Well, you just Poke Her face. haha
